Drift Event February 2026: New Shitzu Keitora, Drift Tuning Upgrades, and 3X Drift Race Rewards
The February 2026 Drift Event brings the new Shitzu Keitora, drift tuning for 4 vehicles, 3x Drift Race payouts, free Walton L35 and Blista Kanjo, and 5x LS Car Meet Rep.
New Vehicle: Shitzu Keitora
The star arrival of the February 2026 Drift Event is the Shitzu Keitora, a compact kei truck that's equal parts hilarious and surprisingly capable. Available now at Southern San Andreas Super Autos, the Keitora is one of the smallest drivable vehicles in GTA Online, and Rockstar has leaned into the absurdity by making it fully drift-tunable.
The Keitora is inspired by real-world Japanese kei trucks, those tiny commercial vehicles designed for narrow streets and light hauling. In GTA Online, it's been given the drift treatment with a lowered stance, widebody fender flares, and an oversized rear wing that looks comically out of proportion on such a small vehicle. It's not going to win any top speed contests, but it drifts like a dream and generates some of the most entertaining clips you'll see in Los Santos.
Customization options are extensive for such a small platform. Expect multiple liveries, roll cages, exhaust options, and of course the full drift tuning package at LS Car Meet.
Drift Tuning Now Available for 4 Vehicles
Rockstar has expanded the drift tuning roster with four vehicles now eligible for the full drift conversion at the LS Car Meet:
- Ubermacht Sentinel XS joins the drift lineup, bringing German luxury sedan energy to the sideways scene. The Sentinel XS has always been a popular tuner car, and drift tuning makes it even more versatile
- Vapid Dominator GT gets the drift treatment, turning the American muscle car into a tire-shredding monster. With enough power to break traction on demand, the Dominator) GT is a natural fit for drifting
- Dinka RT 3000 receives drift tuning, adding Japanese sports car precision to the drift roster. Its lightweight chassis and responsive steering make it one of the easier cars to control while sliding
- Shitzu Keitora launches with drift tuning available from day one, completing the kei truck's transformation from delivery vehicle to drift machine
Each vehicle requires a visit to the LS Car Meet mod shop for the drift conversion. Costs vary by vehicle, but expect to spend between $200,000 and $400,000 per car for the full drift setup.
3x Drift Race Rewards (6x for GTA+ Members)
All Drift Races are paying triple GTA$ and RP for the duration of the event. GTA+ members receive an even bigger boost at 6x rewards, making Drift Races one of the highest-paying activities in the game right now.
A typical Drift Race takes 3-5 minutes to complete. At 3x payouts, expect $30,000-$50,000 per race. At 6x for GTA+ members, that jumps to $60,000-$100,000 per race, which competes with Cayo Perico in terms of dollar-per-minute efficiency.
Drift Races reward style over raw speed. Points are scored for angle, speed while drifting, and proximity to walls. Practice on easier tracks first to learn the scoring zones before grinding the harder circuits.
Free Drift Walton L35 and Blista Kanjo
Two vehicles are available free during the event:
- Drift Walton L35 is unlocked by completing 5 Drift Races during the event. This quirky truck-turned-drift-car is a fan favorite for its absurd contrast between utility vehicle styling and sideways capability
- Blista Kanjo-kanjo) is the weekly prize at the LS Car Meet. Place in the top 3 of Street Races for 3 consecutive days to claim it. The Kanjo is a lightweight compact with excellent handling and a cult following in the tuner community
Both vehicles have strong customization options and are worth claiming even if drifting isn't your primary focus.
5x LS Car Meet Reputation
Reputation gains at the LS Car Meet are boosted to 5x during the event. This is the fastest way to level up your Car Meet rep and unlock exclusive clothing, vehicle mods, and trade prices.
Activities that earn Car Meet rep include:
- Attending the Car Meet daily
- Completing test track laps
- Placing your personal vehicle on the Car Meet floor
- Racing in Car Meet events
- Spending time in the Car Meet area
At 5x rep, you can gain multiple levels per session. Focus on test track laps and daily attendance for the most efficient rep farming.
Auto Shop Robbery Bonus: $300K Extra
Auto Shop robberies are paying an extra $300,000 bonus on top of normal payouts during the event. These multi-part robbery missions are already some of the most engaging content in GTA Online, and the bonus makes them even more rewarding.
If you own an Auto Shop, make sure to run at least one full robbery cycle during the event to claim the bonus. The missions scale well for solo players and are even more efficient with a partner.
2x Weed Farm Sell Missions
MC Weed Farm sell missions pay double GTA$ and RP this week. If you own a Weed Farm with stock ready to sell, now is the time to make your delivery. Combined with a Nightclub that feeds off your MC businesses, this creates a solid passive income pipeline.
Lunar New Year: Last Chance
The Lunar New Year event wraps up at the end of this week. If you haven't claimed the free Lunar New Year liveries, outfits, and firework launchers, log in before the deadline. These cosmetics are typically exclusive to the event period and may not return for another year.
Event Summary
The February 2026 Drift Event is packed with value. Between the free vehicles, 3x drift payouts, 5x Car Meet rep, and Auto Shop bonuses, there's something for every play style. The Shitzu Keitora alone is worth logging in for, if only for the entertainment value of drifting a kei truck through downtown Los Santos.
